Sparks flew from every direction, smoke bellowed from vents and ducts while security panels came crashing down all around. Men and women screaming in pain, some being crushed, others burning alive. Flames erupt along the far wall and everyone can almost feel the oxygen rush past their faces to feed its fury.

A Soldiers Journal - October 1We hit the ground hard today, our Chinook had seen much better landings but it cant be helped. Today I officially join the newly formed 8 Rifles during Operation Herrick. At the time of my company joining the battilion I mark the the nine-thousand and fifty eighth british troop to set foot in the Helamand Province - I pray, these two feet carry me out again.   
I met with my superiors early morning for a sit rep and briefing, theres not much to talk about here; I'm on partrol with the 8th to aclimatise and get a feel for the land, and then the 8th will be in support of the 3rd during a strike on a known taliban hold. COD: MW2 and other game related stuff

So after the mass storm that was the release of COD:MW2 and then the mass network hit of 2 millions players on xbox live at one time... (not sure about PSN) how did you guys fair?

In other news, how the crap do you do the Echo spec ops missions on Veteran. Jeez freaking impossible or what... I'm minus four achievements for that game, and they are all for spec ops stuff. Also running the S.S.D.D. in under 30 secs is a bloody nightmare too.

In other news, FFXIII got a march release date, i am thoroughly chuffed with this, and hope its stuck to unlike the fiasco that was FFXII coming out years after it was intended to be.

Also, did anyone buy Dragon Age... how freaking EPIC is this game. I was quite surprised, i was'nt expecting it to be this great a game, i mean i know Bioware are a great company with some brilliant writers and minds on their team but this blew me away. I thought they'd only get Sci Fi right, but it appears they're damn good at high fantasy too.
